Purpose of the Role

The Depot Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the daily operations at the depot, ensuring that the highest level of customer service is delivered to every customer. 

This role involves leading and motivating the depot team, upholding Corrib Oil’s standards for safety and security, and ensuring efficient, compliant, and profitable running of the site.

 This role with act as a support to the local Sales teams, including close collaboration with the drivers and Fleet team to ensure seamless communication and operational efficiency. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

·       Uphold Corrib Oil’s high standards in customer service at all times.

·       Record, monitor, and maintain safety standards, ensuring compliance with company and legal requirements.

·       Maintain accurate stock levels across all product lines within the depot.

·       Oversee depot and depot yard maintenance to ensure the site remains safe, clean, and operationally efficient.

·       Conduct regular depot audits to support continuous improvement and compliance.

·       Organise and deliver staff training to promote development and maintain high operational standards.

·       Manage, support, and motivate the depot team to achieve targets and foster a positive work environment.

·       Drive growth in all oil sales through proactive customer engagement and sales initiatives.

·       Prepare, monitor, and reconcile all depot daily administration, including financial and operational records.

Qualifications and Experience

·       Previous experience in a depot, warehouse, or similar operational management role preferred.

·       Previous experience working alongside Sales teams and Rigid Drivers, with a solid understanding of Driver Rules and regulations, is essential for success in this role.

·       Experience in team leadership and staff development is an advantage.

·       Familiarity with health & safety regulations and audit processes is desirable.

·       Full, clean driving licence required.
