The Corrib Oil Galway International Rally will take place on February 4th and 5th 2023, and entries are now open. Falling on Ireland’s first annual February bank holiday, the event will once again be the opening round of the 2023 Irish Tarmac Rally Championship and the second round of the Synergy Motorsports 2023 ITRC Historic Rally Championship. Fifteen exciting stages will take place over two days. The headquarters for the rally will be the Connacht Hotel on the Old Dublin Road.
Corrib Oil will once again be the title sponsors of the Galway International Rally, as we have been since 2016. We look forward to seeing a bit of the action as the route takes drivers to Loughrea, where one of our four Galway filling stations is located. Gary Leonard returns as Clerk of the Course.
Check out this footage of last year’s rally, which was won by Monaghan’s Josh Moffett driving a Hyundai i20 R5 and his Wexford co-driver Andy Hayes, with a 14.1 second victory. The 2022 Corrib Oil Galway International Rally was fiercely contested with a very strong field, and the same is expected for the 2023 event.
Corrib Oil is also an official partner of Connacht Rugby, and a supporter of Croí, the heart and stroke charity.
