Galway – 30 September 2022: Corrib Oil, consisting of Corrib Retail and Corrib Distribution, has been named as one of Ireland’s Best Managed Companies, an awards programme led by Deloitte in association with Bank of Ireland. The Irish-owned company employs more than 1,000 people across the nation, primarily in Connacht but recently expanding in Munster and Leinster. The company operates 33 retail stores and service stations, as well as 21 oil depots providing home heating oil, agricultural fuel and commercial lubricants.
Ireland’s Best Managed Companies Awards programme promotes and recognises excellence in Irish and Northern Irish owned and managed companies. Corrib Oil was the only West of Ireland based company to win for the first time this year. Entrants to the programme compete for the designation in a rigorous process that evaluates the calibre of their management abilities and practices in addition to the strategy, capability, innovation, culture and financial performance of their companies.

This is the first year where the awards programme returned as an in-person event following the pandemic and culminated with a gala awards ceremony at The Convention Centre Dublin.
