IT Technician- Full Time-South of Ireland
At Corrib Oil we are always looking to strengthen our organisation by adding the best people to join our teams. We are currently looking to recruit an IT Engineer / Technician.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent IT Skills, communication, and organisational skills, with 2 years’ experience in an IT Administration Support role. You will be working as part of a team; you’ll be responsible for IT support nationwide. You’ll need to be self-driven and proactive in this role as you contribute to the delivery of support, projects, and upgrades along with continual service improvements for the Group systems and office environment.
Reporting into the IT Manager you should be comfortable with weekly reporting and remote collaboration.
Key Accountabilities
- Identifies and resolves issues affecting customer’s IT, utilising the tools available and resourcing necessary support staff.
- Conduct visits to company sites to identify and resolve issues which can’t be done remotely, as well as to install hardware
- Active Directory & User Accounts support
- Office 365 support
- Hardware support including but not limited to pcs, laptops, mobile devices & printers.
- Till hardware support
- Onboard computing system support
- CCTV system support
- MFP printer support.
- Managed company Wi-Fi support
- Managing Antivirus and Network & Email Security
- Conduct regular Windows & Third-Party updates.
- Phone System, Meeting Room & Conference unit support.
- Support and monitor system backups including but not limited to server and critical business hardware.
- The support of all other end user queries.
Other Responsibilities
- Ensure the role is performed with due regard for the requirements of the Company Policies & Procedures.
- Undertake any other duties as considered by the company to be within the scope of the role of the IT Technician.

- Drive and support a positive Health and Safety culture within the department where H&S is given equal priority with all other activities.
- Promote the culture of “stop, think, act” within the department.
Qualifications & Training:
Third level qualification in an IT related discipline OR relevant experience an IT Support/Technician/Administration Role
Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in an IT service support role
Requirements:
- Understanding of Local Area Network and IT setup.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with customers in a high-pressure environment
- Interest in general IT and willingness to learn.
- Excellent judgement, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Willingness to head up dedicated IT projects from start to finish
- Weekend & bank holiday flexibility
- A full driver’s licence
